CHAPTER V
The Last Horseman

  Three months later, Leviton finds a town, north of Lindsay's, that is
very small and encased within trees, much like his old town used to be.
One road leads in, the only road, encased in a forest, low population,
where everyone knows each other.  As he crept in, it was the afternoon,
he saw children playing, much like when he was young.
  An old housewife greets Leviton as he nears, "Well hello, young sir, how
can I help you?"
  Leviton looks past her as she talks to him, "Could you tell me where I
could find a Mr. Logi?"
  "Why oh course," she smiles, "Logi came one time and helps us here ever
since, he's usually around, so just call out his name."
  Leviton grinned evilly, "I'm not much of a shou-"
  "Michael!"  The old woman shouts to a young boy, "Michael, go call Logi!"
  "Yes, ma'am," a distant child's voice can be heard, "Logi!"
  Leviton bows slightly to the old housewife, "Thank you, ma'am."  He walks
to the center of town, and eventually another man walks up.
  "Are you the one that called me," questions the man in a deep voice.
  Leviton cringes at the sound of the familiar voice.  "Uncle Logi," cries
out the voice of a young girl, she comes running up, "Uncle Logi, I'm
hungry."
  "Not now, sweetheart, I'm busy," Logi returns in a deep voice, his eyes
transfixed on the spear strapped to Leviton's back.  The little girl walks
off disappointed.
  "I hear," Leviton finally starts, staring into the soul of Logi, "that
you had led an assault on a small village some years ago, with three
others.  Well," he questions, "is it true?"
  Logi scowls, "No, it is not.  Begone, I want nothing more from you."
  Leviton growls, and heads back up the road, and when nearly out of sight, 
cuts into the woods to a tent.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
  Leviton and Asuka lean against a tree, while sitting, Asuka lay her head
on his chest, he strokes her hair, and kisses her.  Asuka wears khaki pants
and a black shirt with boots, and her bracelet of green and red notted
hair.
  "So are you really going to do it," Asuka asks, her lucious blue eyes
half closed.
  Leviton doesn't answer, instead he only kissed her on the top of her head
and she sighs.
  "Alright," she starts again, "just be careful, I love you."
  "Don't worry, my love," Leviton finally returns, "after this, we'll go
back home and we'll be done with this forever."  He kisses her again, and
she closes her eyes.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
  That night while everyone slept, Leviton crept back into and through the
town unnoticed, and lit five fires in a circle in the middle of town to
form a type of circle.  He then goes into Logi's house and pulls him out.
  Leviton booms to Logi, for the town to hear, "I know what happened that
day in that village," he glares at Logi, "prepare for thy end, suit the
fuck up and meet me in the middle of town."  With that, Leviton walks to
the middle of the circle, and awaits Logi.
  Logi finally comes out with a spear, identical to the one that was
strapped to Leviton's back, and only clothing, and steps into the ring.
"Tell me first," Logi starts, "who are you?"
  Leviton grins evilly, "The one that got away," and with that, he unwields
his spear and charges Logi.  He quickly sweeps Logi's feet with the butt of
the spear and points the head at Logi's heart, "Stand, fool, and fight,"
shouts Leviton.
  Leviton steps back and lets Logi stand, waits a moment, then they both
charge each other, as more villagers come out of their houses to watch, and
the unknown Asuka watches hidden in the crowd.  The two fight hard, swing
and parrying each other's spear.  Leviton finally whacks Logi in the side
of the head with the pole of his spear, sending him sprawling to the
ground.
  "That's two," booms Leviton, now the whole village watching, cheering on
Logi whilst Asuka stays quiet, "next time I'll pierce thy skin!"
  The two charge once again and fight even harder, cutting each other and
bruising each other hard.  Finally Leviton dodges one of Logi's strikes,
sending himself open to Leviton, who holds his spear for Logi to run
through.
  Logi now leans on Leviton, the spear through him, and Leviton whispers
into Logi's ear, "I watched as you raped that young girl, I watched as you
killed them all."  With that, Leviton drops Logi, who looks up at him in
horror.
  Asuka slowly makes her way through the crows and to Leviton, and embraces
him, "I love you, Leviton," she says, tears running down her cheeks.
  Leviton wraps his arms around her, "I love you, Asuka," and kisses her
on her lips.  The two then head back out of the town, where awaits their
van.  They open to two rear doors and go in, closing the doors behind them.
The truck slowly drives away.
